In a letter addressed to veteran experts and artists of the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC), Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for the museum to become a globally renowned art venue.

President Xi, who also serves as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, responded to a letter sent by 13 veteran experts and artists of NAMOC, in which they reported on the museum's development and expressed their dedication to contributing to its high-quality development in the new era.
President Xi's letter, sent on Sunday, extended warm congratulations and sincere greetings to all members of the museum on its 60th anniversary. He highlighted that NAMOC has witnessed the remarkable growth of fine arts in contemporary China and has achieved positive outcomes in collections, exhibitions, public education, and foreign exchanges.
In his letter, President Xi urged NAMOC to prioritize the well-being of the people, uphold the core values of socialism, and focus on high-quality collections, utilization, and services. He emphasized the importance of creating a national and world-class art venue that enables people to appreciate fine arts and enhance their cultural literacy.
