In a gesture aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations between the Maldives and China, H.E. Wang Yubo, the Governor of Yunnan Province of the People's Republic of China, paid a courtesy call on H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Sunday.



The meeting took place at the President's Office, where discussions focused on enhancing existing ties between the two countries, particularly in areas such as tourism, education, sports, and agriculture.


President Solih warmly welcomed Governor Wang and his delegation to the Maldives, emphasizing the strong bond between the two nations. The President highlighted the importance of nurturing the bilateral relations and explored avenues for further collaboration to benefit both countries. Tourism, education, sports, and agriculture were identified as potential areas for enhanced cooperation, paving the way for mutually beneficial initiatives.
